Five armed men were unable to execute their planned robbery today at the 2Fast Motors as members from the NCD Force 10 members intercepted and apprehended them all.
According to Commander NCD and Central Provinces Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Benjamin Turi, one was shot and wounded when he tried to escape from the police. He said the other were captured and are now detained in the cell to be charged accordingly.
Commander Turi said the men when interrogate were identified to be from different parts of the country and reside at different locations in the city.
He said that confirms that the five is a team of criminals who move around in the city. He said they would be interrogated to obtain more information.
Commander Turi thanked the Force ten members for a job well done in execution and apprehension of the criminals.
Hebsaid since their establishment two weeks ago, they had recovered stolen motor vehicles, attended to complaints, and also did Intel driven policing which one of them was the apprehension of the five criminals.
He thanked the commander and his members and wants more of such to be done in the city.
