Twenty-four (24) specialist contract officers successfully completed a four- week Police Induction program and were formally passed out last Friday at Kila Police Band Barracks in Port Moresby.
The pass-out ceremony recognized the end of an intensive induction training aimed at strengthening operational competence, professional conduct, discipline, and readiness to serve the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) human Resources GAIWARI TINGA represented the Commissioner David Manning and presented the certificates of Honor to the recipients.
ACP Tinga congratulated the specialist team and urged them to apply the knowledge, skill and standards gained during the induction when they proceed to their respective duties.
The occasion was also witnessed by Assistant Commissioners of Police (Policy & Planning Rigga Neggi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crimes) Ette and senior management of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
Among the graduands were five Directors at the rank of Chief Superintendent alongside specialized personnel from Research & Planning, Human Resource and ICT. Information Communication Technology specialists form the largest group of graduands with 17 specialists among the 24 officers.
